Habitat for Humanity International seeks a Grant Compliance Officer. The Grant Compliance Officer's primary responsibilities involve remote and on-site compliance monitoring of affiliates which receive federal grant funding. Also, the position assists in preparing and providing virtual and in-person training and technical assistance to affiliates receiving federal funding.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• 40% - Monitor affiliate participants on-site or remotely to ensure sub-grantee compliance with programmatic & federal requirements, including providing support to affiliates prior to on-site or remote reviews, issuing reports of findings & recommendations to affiliates, and monitoring affiliates' corrective actions. Maintain up-to-date information in WebGrants, MS Access database or other grant management database regarding monitoring activities.
• 20% - Follow up with affiliates to ensure that all documentation has been submitted and that the monitoring reviews are complete so that close-out functions on monitoring reviews can be finalized.
• 30% - Assist with scheduling and conducting webinar training on topics such as how to complete an application, program orientation, and possible in-person training at the bi-annual Affiliate Conference; help develop alternative training opportunities such as virtual and online training tools; and assist in the preparation of the annual federal grant manuals.
• 10% - Provide detailed and timely communication to federal grant officers and affiliate participants' requests for technical advice to comply with specific federal program requirements.
  
  

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Urban Planning, Public Administration, Sociology, Social Science, or Non-Profit Management) Or equivalent experience (if applicable)
• Years of Related Experience:
• 3-5 years related experience in grant management
• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Ability to interpret federal regulations
• Knowledge of OMB Federal Procurement requirements
• Collaborative team player
• Critical thinker
• Good communication skills- verbal and written
  
  

Preferred Requirements

• Knowledge of GAAP, accounting, financial analysis and budgeting experience helpful.

The actual salary offered for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including location, internal equity and the candidate's qualifications and professional experience. HFHI offers a competitive, comprehensive benefits package that varies by country and typically includes vacation leave, sick leave, personal days, health insurance options, retirement plan contributions and life insurance. For work locations in the US, the hiring range for this position is $46,670 to $54,900.
