Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join their water/wastewater group in Kansas City, Kansas. This role involves designing and managing control systems, databases, and display screens to ensure reliable water production and distribution. It also includes supporting and managing lab applications and reports, assisting with process modifications, and analyzing computer system needs. The role requires coordinating budgets with other departments, preparing budget proposals, and working with vendors on equipment specifications. Additionally, the job involves designing and troubleshooting SCADA and Operational Technology networks, working with plant technicians on electrical systems, maintaining control system records and drawings, ensuring environmental compliance, and performing various administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Water Processing.

Skills And Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, or Civil, or Computer Engineering

Experience in programming, configuration troubleshooting, controls development, and report development and analysis of instrumentation and controls systems

Experience in industrial electrical systems (480 V, 5KV, 15KV)

Troubleshooting and configuration experience with PLCs and HMIs

Knowledge and understanding of SCADA systems Experience with AutoCAD and ability to update engineering drawings

Experience in water/wastewater industry

EIT or PE

Experience with Wonderware (HMI system)

Experience with Rockwell PLCs null
