Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Design and implement methods to gather and manage supply chain data.
- Review and analyze gathered data to locate potential improvement / cost reduction opportunities in the supply chain processes. Partner with appropriate resources to realize the improvements.
- Partner with the Procurement / Supply Chain leaders to administer the supplier diversity program, including managing & analyzing spend data, submitting reports to customers, & identifying opportunities to improve performance towards the objectives of the program.
- Support the plants as appropriate to ensure smooth execution of routine supply chain / purchasing activities.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Working on a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college with a minimum 3.0 GPA (will be verified)
- Supply Chain management student or a related field
- 0 to 3 years’ experience.
- Previous internship experience is a plus.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Understanding of DOE principals.
- Very capable in use of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Enthusiasm for the opportunity and willingness to go beyond the responsibilities identified
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong initiative, self-starter and highly motivated
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Ability to work independently and in a team and perform well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Confidence to work with and influence senior team members
- Available for a 20 hours/week internship
