Scope of Position
The Field Services Technician will provide technical assistance and support for incoming service requests/incidents related to computer systems, software, hardware, and infrastructure both in-person and remotely at a manufacturing facility in Fairport, NY. This position may require the candidate to be available for on-call 24/7 coverage. The candidate will possess an aptitude for working with Microsoft-based applications, with an emphasis on Windows 7/10/11 and MS Office suites (2010/2013/2016/O365). Candidates will rely on internal training, previous knowledge, and informed judgment to identify, diagnose, and resolve or route tickets accurately and in accordance with documented processes.

Responsibilities
- Utilize Active Directory for user and device management
- Provide limited support for corporate mobile devices
- Work with cloud applications (Microsoft and 3rd party)
- Troubleshoot Cisco VPN connectivity issues
- Remediate and minimize malicious code and computer viruses
- Provide remote connection and support
- Image and deploy PCs for end users
- Manage asset lifecycle
- Support various browsers (IE, Chrome, Safari, etc.)
- Install and configure various software packages
- Set up and troubleshoot security software
- Install and troubleshoot printer drivers
- Manage IPT-based telephony devices
- Utilize ServiceNow for ticket management
- Deploy, configure, and support standard IP telephony
- Order hardware and manage inventory
- Provide limited support for Mac OS and hardware
- Maintain documentation and records
- Onboard and train new hires
- Support conference room technology
- Engage with vendors as needed
- Participate in projects
- Schedule customer follow-ups
- Assist with end-user equipment moves (disconnect/reconnect)
- Collaborate across teams
- Perform device imaging via USB/PXE server(s)
- Assist IT teams with Smart-Hands tasks
- Coordinate with media teams, corporate events, and IT for meeting support and troubleshooting
- Perform testing, monitoring, and analysis for issue resolution
- Assign and engage the correct support teams for troubleshooting
- Support conference room audio and display devices

- Install IT hardware
- Remove and install IT-supported equipment components
- Power cycle IT equipment
- Provide onsite/offsite technical assistance
- Set up remote console access
- Escort IT vendors as needed
- Procure IT goods and services
- Handle receiving/shipping of IT goods
- Maintain discretion and confidentiality
- Prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
- Adapt to changing priorities quickly
- Minimum: Associate degree
- Experience: 1-3 years of hardware experience (beyond imaging/deployment)
- CompTIA IT Fundamentals
- CompTIA A CompTIA Cloud CompTIA Mobility CompTIA Network CompTIA Server Additional Information
- Assignment location may change, as Field Services operates across multiple sites.
- Some light travel may be required for event support or remote site assistance.
- Opportunities for career development may be available after 1.5 to 2 years in the Field Services role.
