Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer - CNC Programmer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer with over 4 years of experience in manufacturing engineering. The ideal candidate should have a strong Experience in lean manufacturing, process routing, secondary processes, and nondestructive testing (NDT). Additionally, the candidate should have over 3 years of experience with conventional lathe, mill, and CNC machining, with a preference for lathe experience. A degree is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop CNC programs for multi-axis CNC lathes and mills via CAM software, preferably MasterCAM.
• Improve and standardize machining processes, tooling, and equipment.
• Spend approximately 75% of the day on the floor, splitting time between process improvements and editing/modifying programs.
• Oversee around 20 machines in the shop, ensuring programs are ready, updated, and processes are optimized.
• Assist machinists and operators during setups and first-time releases.
• Work with Fanuc-controlled machines, including 5-axis mills and multi-axis mill turns.
• Create fixtures and 3D models as needed, with occasional 2D drafting.
• Develop standard operating procedures and training guides for CNC machining and other processes.
• Troubleshoot problems on CNC machines and manufacturing processes, collaborating with shop floor personnel.
• Designed and procured jigs, fixtures, and special tools, ensuring compliance with customer/design specifications.
• Introduce new products with routed processes, BOMs, in-process drawings, and special tooling designs.
• Support the procurement and implementation of new equipment and processes.
• Proactively avoid problems and prepare for upcoming jobs, troubleshooting and resolving issues promptly.
• Perform value analysis on existing designs, making recommendations to reduce product costs.
• Participate in the MRB process by dispositioning non-conformances and creating rework instructions.

Work Environment

The candidate will work in a very clean and quiet manufacturing environment with a small, family-oriented team. The typical work hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM, with no overtime required. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $68.00/hr.
