Space Age Electronics is seeking an experienced Shop Supervisor to join their team in Templeton, MA

If you have proven experience as a shop supervisor or similar role in a fabrication or manufacturing environment, including experience with OSHA and working with ERP systems, this is a career you owe it to yourself to explore. Management experience in a metal fabrication shop is desired but not required

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the fabrication shop, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
• Lead and mentor a team of fabrication workers, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance their skills and productivity.
• Oversee the operation of fabrication equipment, ensuring proper use and maintenance.
• Monitor workflow, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources to maximize efficiency and meet production deadlines.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Work in the ERP software to maintain and process jobs as required during daily production.
• Collaborate with scheduling and the other manufacturing areas of the business to ensure product is being built on time.
• Work to facilitate cross-training on different fabrication processes between the production staff.
• Prepare and maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation.
• Address any issues or concerns that arise in the shop, implementing solutions to resolve them promptly.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication.
