We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Chemical Mixer Technician to join our team. The position requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced laboratory or industrial setting.
Mixing Technician Key Responsibilities
- Chemical Preparation: Accurately measure and weigh chemicals using scales and volumetric equipment to prepare solutions according to specific formulas.
- Mixing Operations: Operate mixing tanks, blending machines, or other equipment to thoroughly combine chemicals while monitoring temperature and pressure parameters.
- Forklift & Material Handling : Will support shipping operations during batching/mixing
- Quality Control Testing: Perform routine quality checks on mixed chemicals using analytical instruments (e.g., pH meters, conductivity meters, or spectrophotometers) to verify compliance with specifications.
- Data Recording: Maintain detailed records of mixing procedures, chemical quantities, test results, and any deviations from standard protocols.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean and sanitize mixing equipment, troubleshoot minor issues, and report any malfunctions to supervisors.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines, including proper handling of hazardous materials, wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), and following emergency procedures.
- Forklift Operation: 1-2 years of forklift operator experience
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of basic chemistry principles, chemical reactions, and properties of various chemicals.
- Math Skills: Ability to perform accurate calculations involving weights, volumes, and concentrations.
- Attention to Detail: High level of precision and accuracy when measuring and handling chemicals.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to mixing processes or equipment malfunctions.
- Safety Awareness: Commitment to following safety protocols and working in a safe manner.
- Previous Experience: Prior experience in a laboratory or industrial setting is preferred but not required.
