The Onboarding Coordinator is responsible for the HR onboarding of new workforce members for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The Onboarding Coordinator works collaboratively with Talent Acquisition, Occupational Health Services, and the many Hiring Managers across the institute to ensure a smooth onboarding process and warm welcome for incoming staff.
This role is benefit eligible, time limited role with an expected end date of May 2026.

- Onboarding of all DFCI paid staff and sponsored staff
- Communicates with Hiring Managers and candidates throughout the onboarding process
- Coordinate occupational health clearance for new staff
- May assist to ensure collection and administration of all paperwork in compliance with Federal and State laws
- Administer background screen and all other new hire paperwork as needed
- Provide back up support for in person NHO check in process
- May provide back up support for the Cori Adverse Action Process
- May assist to ensure PHF's are approved by the deadline date
- Liaison between managers and outside vendors, as needed, related to onboarding of staff
- Problem solves onboarding issues as they arise
- Ensures onboarding requests are compliant
- Troubleshoot HealthStream access issues for new hires and escalate to the appropriate HR/IS party
- Front Desk Reception back up as needed
- Partners with HR Immigration regarding staff who require visa sponsorship
- Provides backup for other members of the onboarding team as needed
- All other duties as assigned
- High school diploma; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1 year administrative/office experience
- HR experience preferred
- Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System strongly preferred
- PeopleSoft experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with state and federal employment/labor laws and practices helpful
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
- Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System strongly preferred

- Must be extremely organized, detail oriented, and possess the ability to work in a fast paced, high volume environment
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service skills
