This role involves optimizing production processes, ensuring product quality, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.
In This Role
- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for instrumentation products.
- Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing, equipment and product issues.
- Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure manufacturability of new products.
- Develop and coordinate relationships with 3rd party equipment vendors.
- Estimate costs for electrical/automated systems to support project budgeting.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure product reliability and compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production issues.
- Develop and maintain documentation for manufacturing processes and procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Provide technical support and training to production staff.
- Proactively address issues impacting quality, delivery and productivity.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Process/Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in the instrumentation industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components and automation technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Python and/or LabVIEW, HMI development and SCADA systems
- Experience with Linux and version control systems (GIT)
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Project management experience.
- Experience with automation systems and technologies.
- Knowledge of robotics and machine vision systems.
