- S. Degree in Industrial Engineering
- OR 3 to 5 years of machining experience
SCHEDULING
- Daily and weekly finite schedules and plans are prepared, distributed, and verified for adherence.
- Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to optimize the use of tooling and reduce changeovers.
- Inventory levels and machine order levels are balanced to efficiently and optimally achieve order completion on-time and in-full.
- The weekly capacities by value stream are controlled and optimized.
- On-time delivery goals are met.
- The needs of the customer are consistently met.
- Inventory accuracy is maintained through best practices for inventory management including cycle counts and shipping/receiving verification of raw materials.
- All schedules and changes that impact product flow are communicated to appropriate personnel.
- Inter-company communication is effective and performed in a professional manner.
- Positively infuences all directions in the organization including peers and vertically to help the department achieve its goals
- Demonstrates knowledge of capacities, cycles, and bottlenecks for the value streams.
- Demonstrates knowledge of material flow and product types to best optimize performance.
- Becomes the PMK (person most knowledgeable) of the scheduling and inventory systems and tools to make the voice of the customer visible to the plant floor.Ability to handle back-up work from the other Production Schedulers is demonstrated.
- The candidate’s actions reflect the department’s vision, mission, and values.
- Regular utilization of lean tools and daily management systems to make problems
- Utilizes root cause problem solving to ensure problems do not return.
- Evidence of attempts to maximize and improve work efficiency is shown.
- Evidence of continued education is demonstrated.
