PTE Field Engineer - Entry Level
This position is based in our Boise, ID or Vancouver, WA offices supporting utility and industrial clients across the Western United States.
Position requires up to 85% travel.

Base Salary Range: $24 - $36 per hour

Job Summary Of Roles And Responsibilities
- Perform testing and commissioning of apparatus, protection and control systems on medium and high voltage substations.
- Support and perform on site hands-on protective relay testing using relay test sets such as Omicron CMC 256/356 or Doble F6150.
- Support and perform on site hands-on apparatus inspection and testing of circuit breakers, transformers, instrumentation transformers
- Technical and Safety Development
- Support Project Lead or Field Supervisor on projects
- Accurately document test results and produce field reports on requested format
- Read and understand electrical drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams
- Perform clerical responsibilities such as timecards, expense reports and project reports
- Field travel to project sites
- A Bachelor of Science in Engineering; preferably electrical, or electrical technology
- Good interpersonal, written and oral, communication skills
- Detail oriented with excellent analytical skills, and ability to perform mathematical calculations, working knowledge of computer systems and microprocessor or relay software and project environment skills
- Administrative software: MS Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Experienced in managing electrical and/or construction drawings
- Valid drivers license
- Ability to meet minimum insurability standards based on a Motor Vehicle Report
- Ability to pass federal drug and alcohol test
- Ability to pass seven (7) year background check
- NETA or NICET II/III certification
- Demonstrable expertise electrical protection relays (SEL, Basler, Beckwith, and GE families) and protective schemes.
- Demonstrable knowledge of electrical apparatus fundamentals.
- Technical Software for testing purposes and data review: ProTesT, Protection Suite, ENOSERV RTS,
- Omicron Test Universe and AcSELerator Quickset
