Job Description
A client in the Pacific Northwest is looking for a QA Engineer to join their team! This role is a direct hire/FTE opening that is onsite to start then will shift to a hybrid model. In this role we are looking for someone who has QA Engineer skills within data and data quality. This would include, but is not limited to manual testing and pulling reports in SQL from Power BI as it pertains to: API integrations, Data Warehousing - Data Quality, Data Validation, EDI, SQL, Report testing, Middleware, and ensure testing is done with data moving from point A to point B. In this role you will also be doing reporting and a lot of AB testing and creating a new report and validate that data matches the report. In addition, in this role to start you will primarily be doing manual testing, however if you have any automation testing experience with Selenium that is welcomed as they are looking to continue to move towards automation. This current team works on the MS Cloud Stack with Power BI, Data Lakes, SQL Server, Azure Synapse, Data Factory, MS Fabric, MS Cloud Stack. In this role you will be doing a lot of QA on reports, ETL, Data Warehousing, Databases, Integrations - EDI, and SFTP. Any experience with system integrations, data transfers, reports, and data is key to what we are looking for. In addition, there will be Functional Testing, UAT Testing, and Regression testing. Skills And Requirements
3-5 years of experience with backend data testing as a QA Engineer, QA tester, QA Analyst or similar
Experience with Data Testing, API integration testing, pulling reports, Data Quality, EDI, SQL, SFTP and ETL
Formalized QA experience, understands change control, familiar with formalized QA processes and procedures, Agile experience
3 years of experience writing test scripts, test plans and test cases
3 years of experience with Functional, Regression, and UAT Testing
Experience with AB testing
SQL Experience, experience with SQL queries, writing queries to pull data. Experience testing in Power BI (reporting dashboards) or Tableau
Automated testing experience
Experience testing software applications in .net/c#
Experience with Dell Boomi or MuleSoft null
