Job Details For Safety Manager

Pay Rate: $60000 to $80000 year

Hours: Monday to Friday Day Shift 8am-4pm (flexible

Vacation: Accrued on basis of working at least 1 day within each 2 week pay period from

6/01/XX thru 5/31/XX prorated on 26 periods. Paid at 88 hours @ your rate.

Bereavement Pay: Immediate family (spouse, mother, siblings, children, father, & step children

grandparents & grandchildren father/mother in-law 4 Days. Brother/sister in-law 2 days.

401(k) Plan Your can contribute up 15% of your gross pay into the plan Pre-Tax.

If you contribute, the company matches up to .70 per hour for all hours worked.

Also the company contributes 3% of Gross Wages.

Eligible after 60 Working Day probation period.

Job Responsibilities & Description For Health And Safety Manager

• Create an atmosphere in your areas of responsibility that continually supports the Company's operations and policies
• Assist with the daily administration and implementation of the Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) programs that ensure compliance with statutory requirements and promote safe and healthy working conditions
• Assist with the scheduling, preparation, training, documentation, and reporting of all safety training programs, as necessary. Programs may include, but are not limited to, new miner training, annual refresher training, supervisory first aid training, toolbox talks, site specific hazard training, task training, etc.
• Assist with the operations of and participate in the Safety Committee and Safety Steering Committee
• Assist with the investigation and reporting of accidents and near misses
• Assist with the preparation, training, and implementation of safety policies
• Tour, inspect, and report on mining and processing sites and support facilities to ensure safe work practices related to safety and environmental compliance
• Track, update, interpret, and report safety metrics, including the Safety Incentive Program
• Support adherence to safety and environmental regulations, applicable rules and regulations for all operations
• Assist with the inspection, maintenance, compliance, reporting, documentation, training, and preparation of environmental reports, permits, applications, actions, and company policies as assigned
• Carry out all responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
  
  

Qualifications

• Broad HSE knowledge and minimum six months experience
• Self-motivated with good organizational and communicative skills and the ability to work with people
• Possess project management skills.
• Computer skills should include working in Word, Excel, and Power Point
• Practical knowledge of local, state and federal regulations governing, mining health, environmental, and safety
