We are seeking an Electric Thruster Engineering Specialist for our Redmond, WA office. The successful candidate will support development and flight production of ion thrusters, Hall thrusters, or other electric propulsion products.

Essential Functions
- Plans, prepares for, and executes development, qualification, and flight acceptance testing of electric thrusters.
- Coordinates thruster and process development including design and engineering analyses.
- Uses engineering and scientific principles to prevent, investigate, and resolve production and test anomalies.
- Supports flight hardware production from component procurement through spacecraft integration.
- Leads technical teams to define and implement engineering solutions to meet project or program objectives.
- Serves as a technical authority and provides guidance and training to more junior personnel
- Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information
- A PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related discipline is required
- The successful candidate will have experience working in a team environment demonstrating collaboration and leadership
- Candidate should have experience with electric propulsion laboratory hardware and test
- Candidate should possess an understanding of plasma physics and material science and their practical application to electric thruster design and operation
- Candidate should have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Candidate should have a passion for space exploration and a career in the space economy

Salary : $85,000 - $158,500
