This position is primarily responsible for managing the administration and compliance of all benefit programs for the United Sates and Puerto Rico, and assisting with international benefit programs, in support of our Global Total Rewards strategic objectives. The role leads benefits design and operations ensuring efficiencies across systems, processes, and stays current on rules and regulations impacting benefits programs. Uses in-depth knowledge of best practices in benefits with the ability to navigate complex claims and plan questions by interacting extensively with internal partners (HR, Legal, Finance) and external vendors.
This role executes strategy and contributes to plan design, pricing, and contract negotiation through data analysis and recommendations, implements employee benefit policies and plan design changes, and manages vendor partners. Provides support for business acquisition, process harmonization efforts, and policy integration.
Specific Responsibilities Include
This role is hybrid between Princeton, NJ and remote. Office days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Specific Responsibilities Include
- Oversees and optimizes efficient administration of the Company's benefit plans and may assist as needed with other benefits programs
- Implements competitive, innovative and cost-efficient benefit programs
- Partners with management, external benefits consultants and local brokers for vendor renewals to negotiate the best terms for the Company and meaningful Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Manages insurance providers, third-party administrators, and all other service providers for benefits administration activities; Ensures adherence to SLAs
- Validates accuracy of file data integrations with vendors ensuring timely updates; addresses corrections and errors, as needed
- Plans for annual open enrollment for all health & welfare programs
- Develops clear & accurate benefit program change management and communications of benefit programs, including company intranet content and required documents
- Ensures compliance with the governance of benefit plans in alignment with internal controls and Federal/State/ Country regulations
- Manages the US Retirement Committee and 5500 reporting
- Oversees the administration of the deferred Compensations plans and supports plan participants
- Benchmarks benefits programs for local market competitiveness to maximize employee engagement and retention
- Measures benefits program efficiency through claims & plan spend data analysis with comparison to market trends and demographics; support Finance budgeting process
- Leads M&A benefits transition initiatives including plan transitions and change management activities
- Provides subject-matter support to the HR team and the business
- Oversees Expat and Executive benefits
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business or health related field or equivalent experience
- Seven years of benefits administration and plan oversight experience to include experience with health & welfare plans, ancillary benefits, well-being & HR policies required
- Prior experience in managing external vendors required
- Experience with self-funded plan administration strongly preferred
- Merger and acquisition experience preferred
- Strong analytical skills using data to proactively derive insights and support fact-based decision making
- Ability to communicate, partner and influence outcomes with internal and external partners
- Current knowledge of Benefits and Human Resource rules, regulations, guidelines, and best practices
- Effective communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, empathetic, attentive listener, and a strong customer service-oriented demeanor
- Must be highly organized, analytical, action and detailed oriented along with ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently with strong consultative skills as well as collaborate with and drive team dynamics
- Experience delivering benefit programs and communications using digital platforms and technologies
- Highly skilled in Microsoft Office suite applications
- International Employee Benefit Association (IEBA) certification a plus
