Job Description
Join the team at the Department of Revenue this Tax Season! Full time & Part Time opportunities
This is a temporary position starting 3/05/2025 and expected to last until at least 7/18/2025
Initial Operations is seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our team which supports the Department by completing the initial processing of all incoming tax documents. In this position, you would be assigned a variety of basic clerical duties in support of the agency's operations. Duties include: sorting and distributing mail, data entry, scanning, filing, reviewing documents for accuracy, and maintaining agency records. We offer flexible scheduling with full-time and part-time hours available between 7am and 6pm.
Job Duties Include
Minimum Qualifications: Coursework, training and/or work experience in performing and applying office procedures, including the use of a personal computer, associated software applications, and general office equipment.
Knowledge of: Web and PC software applications, general accounting principles, and business office procedures.
Skill in: Operation of PC, calculator, and other basic office machines.
Ability to: Research and recognize errors during initial processing of tax returns and reports. Apply various policies, procedures, and instructions in the area of tax administration.

- Sorts and batches payments, forms, documents, and other records process work in a prescribed manner.
- Completes data entry, filing, scanning and other assigned office tasks.
- Operates office equipment such as personal computers, scanning equipment, multi-sorters, collators, calculators.
- Proofreads and corrects documents and other materials produced or received in ensure the accuracy, completeness, and acceptability of the materials before further processing
