Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead preliminary design architecture studies, including cost roll-ups and technology assessments.
- Develop and integrate new solutions and parametric tools for design optimization.
- Challenge current processes, anticipate problems, and create innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape design, weight, cost, and maintenance strategies.
- Prepare invention disclosures to protect intellectual property.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to teams, ensuring proper documentation and communication of project status.
- Lead or participate in technical and program reviews.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a mechanical engineering position.
- Master’s degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering.
- Experience in mechanical engineering, supply chain, sourcing, or manufacturing operations.
- Experience with weight, cost estimation, and design parameters in early engine development.
- Proficiency in Unigraphics NX.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Experience leading global cross-functional teams.
- Ability to analyze and resolve problems and demonstrate systems thinking.
