As a Systems Security Engineer, you will be using your skills and expertise to deploy, operate and maintain our secure operating systems, networks, security monitoring, and tuning. You'll be responsible for the management of our IT security systems and applications, conducting risk and vulnerability assessments, and developing and implementing security controls. The Systems Security Engineer is responsible for deploying, operating, documenting and maintaining secure IT systems. The SSE’s primary focus will be the operations of a newly minted secure development environment as part of a large US Air Force program. The SSE closely collaborates with users, administrators, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure secure systems are effectively implemented, measured, monitored and documented throughout the system lifecycle. The SSE is a vital contributor within SNC’s highly dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in systems security, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline and at least 3 of relevant experience
- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
- Proficiency with Cloud networking (virtual network, firewall, routing, S2S VPN)
- Proficiency Cisco network routers and switches
- Experience with Next-Generation firewalls
- Understanding of the OSI model & connectivity across layers 1 - 7
- DOD 8140 Qualification (Security or equivalent)
- An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
- ISM CAP, CISSP, or CISM Certification
- Cisco Certified Network Associate or Professional
- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals Certification
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate
- AWS Certified Advanced Networking
- Current TS/SCI Clearance
