Key Responsibilities
- Assist with traffic engineering projects, including technical analyses, data collection, and report preparation.
- Perform traffic analyses to identify operational and safety challenges across various modes of transportation.
- Support the development of travel demand forecasts for current and future traffic scenarios.
- Participate in client meetings, technical forums, and public hearings to present findings and solutions.
- Use traffic modeling software (e.g., VISSIM, Synchro/SimTraffic, SIDRA) to analyze traffic conditions and develop engineering reports.
- Assist in identifying mitigation measures and safety countermeasures to address traffic deficiencies.
- Contribute to the preparation of traffic design documents, such as signing, pavement marking, and traffic signal plans in compliance with MUTCD standards.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on project tasks and contribute to interdisciplinary projects.
- Support business development efforts through research, proposal preparation, and client interaction.
- Ensure adherence to FHU’s quality management standards while gaining technical and project experience.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering from an accredited institution (required).
- Skills: Familiarity with traffic engineering standards (e.g., MUTCD, ITE, NACTO, AASHTO) and basic knowledge of traffic modeling software. Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Licensure: Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or active pursuit of certification preferred.

Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
