We are on the hunt for a Transmission Design Engineer with the technical expertise to drive impactful decisions on high-voltage transmission lines and substations. In this role, you’ll define project scopes, estimate costs, and perform in-depth comparative analyses of proposals for the design, construction, ownership, operation, and maintenance of critical infrastructure.
Our ideal Transmission Design Engineer candidate brings a strong foundation in high-voltage transmission line and substation design, construction, and/or maintenance, paired with a bachelors degree in engineering or related experience.
After one year in the role, your success will be demonstrated by your ability to:

We are on the hunt for a Transmission Design Engineer with the technical expertise to drive impactful decisions on high-voltage transmission lines and substations. In this role, you’ll define project scopes, estimate costs, and perform in-depth comparative analyses of proposals for the design, construction, ownership, operation, and maintenance of critical infrastructure.

After one year in the role, your success will be demonstrated by your ability to:
- Provide technical expertise on high-voltage transmission line and substation design during MISO’s planning process, Competitive Transmission Process, and project implementation.
- Develop into a subject matter expert in high-voltage transmission line and substation design, construction, and operations & maintenance.
- Guide and manage consultants on project schedules and construction reviews related to proposals for the construction, ownership, and operation of transmission lines and substations.
- Effectively articulate and communicate technical information, both verbally and in writing, to diverse audiences.
- Guide projects, manage risks and organizational impacts, and engage with stakeholders across various forums.
