What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Journeyman/Foreman position at Lenzi Incorporated?
Role and Responsibilities
· Installation: Assemble & Install solar panels, modules, support structures, inverters, and other PV system components, ensuring proper wiring, grounding, and electrical terminations. Experience in solar, battery, or generator installation.
· Maintenance & Repair: Troubleshoot, repair, and replace PV-related wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Document work by taking pictures and communicating with our office.
· Code Compliance: Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant local codes. Check the integrity of wiring, grounding, and electrical terminations.
· Safety: Follow proper safety procedures while working at heights and on electrical equipment.
· Troubleshooting: Double-check that all required tools, parts, and inventory are loaded on the truck before leaving the warehouse. Identify and resolve electrical problems within solar systems.
· Training & Mentoring: May train and mentor apprentices.
· Communication: Work with operations managers, local inspectors, and potential customers to ensure projects are completed successfully.
· Project Management: May be involved in managing projects, including reviewing plans, executing solar layouts, and leading teams.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Certifications: Journeyman electrician certification and potentially solar-specific (NABCEP Certification or Currently hold NABCEP Credits). Complete understanding of the NEC code book or plan to attend classes to gain these skills.
· Safety Knowledge: Thorough understanding of electrical safety procedures. Strong commitment to safety protocols and ability to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Ability to read and interpret single and three-line drawings.

- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical codes, wiring, and PV systems.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues.
