What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cashier position at LEO'S CONEY ISLAND?
Responsibilities:
- Anticipate and fulfill guests' needs, anticipate their wants and act upon them quickly.
- Explain dishes and drinks to guests, answer any questions they have regarding the menu, ingredients, preparation etc.
- Recommend items to guests based on their taste preferences (i.e. spicy) and personal diet restrictions (i.e. vegetarian).
- Greet guests and escort them to their tables.
- Up-sell by encouraging customers to purchase more expensive dishes or add-ons.
- Minimize waste by explaining menu options in an engaging and enthusiastic way.
- Ensure a pleasant experience by listening to guests' concerns, ensuring tables are clean and restocked as necessary.
- Monitor order accuracy by requesting to see all dishes sent out to each table.
- Handle complaints using a professional and courteous manner, and make sure guests are satisfied.
- Keep the dining area clean, tidy and organized by clearing tables between courses and banquets.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
