Cashier

Responsibilities:

• Anticipate and fulfill guests' needs, anticipate their wants and act upon them quickly.
• Explain dishes and drinks to guests, answer any questions they have regarding the menu, ingredients, preparation etc.
• Recommend items to guests based on their taste preferences (i.e. spicy) and personal diet restrictions (i.e. vegetarian).
• Greet guests and escort them to their tables.
• Up-sell by encouraging customers to purchase more expensive dishes or add-ons.
• Minimize waste by explaining menu options in an engaging and enthusiastic way.
• Ensure a pleasant experience by listening to guests' concerns, ensuring tables are clean and restocked as necessary.
• Monitor order accuracy by requesting to see all dishes sent out to each table.
• Handle complaints using a professional and courteous manner, and make sure guests are satisfied.
• Keep the dining area clean, tidy and organized by clearing tables between courses and banquets.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $12.00 per hour
