Leo’s Seafood Restaurant & Bar is the premier dining destination for exquisite seafood, classic cuisine, decadent desserts, and a world-class wine list. Located in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan since 2004, Leo’s has stayed committed to always sourcing fresh quality ingredients, carefully crafting each menu, and delivering an extraordinary experience to each and every guest.
The Host/Hostess is the face of the restaurant, the first impression we give, and it is imperative that you set the tone for a wonderful dining experience for all our guests.
Leo’s operates high volume meal periods Monday - Friday 11:30a-10p and Saturdays 4:30p-10p. We are open on Sundays for special occasions.

Responsibilities:
- Promptly greet all guests arriving to the restaurant in a warm manner.
- Using Open Table, locate guest reservations or enter walk-ins to the system, acknowledge any special requests or occasions & seat the guests in a timely manner.
- Take complete reservations over the phone & in-person, noting any special requests or occasions.
- Calling & confirming reservations
- Answer guest questions to the best of your ability, such as: basic menu knowledge, daily specials & soup du jour; knowledge of downtown directions, area & events; parking, etc.
- Keeping a tidy, stocked host stand, coatroom & restaurant lobby.
- Check the bathrooms for cleanliness & stock supplies every 30 minutes.
- Coat Check (seasonal)
Qualifications/Skills:
- Personable, positive & professional attitude
- Detail & task oriented
- Excellent organizational & communication skills
- Hospitable phone etiquette
- Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment
- Reliability
- Sense of urgency
- Self-starter
- Evening, weekend & holiday availability a must
- Open Table experience preferred
- Host, Administrative or Front Desk experience a plus
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to be on feet for long periods of time
- Must be available for at least 5 days a week, including Saturdays
