We are currently seeking the following Position

Position is contingent on contract award

JOB TITLE : FORKLIFT OPERATOR

JOB PURPOSE :

The Forklift Operator operates a manually controlled gasoline, electric, or liquid propane gas-powered forklift to transport goods and materials within a warehouse, manufacturing plant, or other establishment.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

store supplies and equipment in assigned storage areas.

Perform inventories and warehouse surveillance for Temporary Storage Areas (TSA), operate and maintain storage areas, holding areas, and flammable storage cabinets if applicable.

Use In-Transit Property Areas (IPA) to store equipment and supplies awaiting Turn-In, Operate and maintain IPA

use a Project Holding Area (PHA) for staging supplies / materials in advance of starting a specific research project

use TSA, IPA, and PHA; all materials must be segregated / not co-mingled and marked.

The items must be properly tagged to identify nouns, conditions, and identification and listed on a report. This report must be posted within the immediate area or made available easily upon request.

The items must be stored properly to prevent damage and be handled safely.

notify the Branch Chief if the item deteriorates into an unsafe condition.

Maintain disposition status for items in the TSA / IPA.

Document all movement of materials in and out of the holding areas using the appropriate forms, such as AF Form 1297.

document the movement by marking the location of each item that is moved to / from a holding area

release property received to the appropriate equipment custodian or equipment control officer and obtain signed receipt documentation.

Ensure all APSR items that meet accountability property record requirements are processed and loaded into DPAS upon delivery.

submit a DPAS Cataloging Action Request within five workdays.

Perform an inspection of the item for damage and match it against the requisition document.

Notify the purchaser if there is any damage or discrepancy.

Ensure items marked as Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) sensitive are opened in the proper environment by ESD-trained personnel.

Pick up and deliver items / equipment from / to alternate equipment custodians

offload, sign for, and check the incoming property as it arrives.

obtain signatures of the carrier's agent acknowledging shortages, damages, or other discrepancies.

prepare and process a Supply Deficiency Report.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

Must have certifications / licenses as well as the capability to work with the following operations and systems :

Operation of vehicles to transport equipment / material

Computer and Administrative skills :

Understand filing systems, electronic filing, creating / utilizing word documents and excel spreadsheets,

sending / receiving / reading / replying to email and instant messages,

phone etiquette and taking / delivering phone messages.

Government Records Management processes.

Training is required for personnel identified by the Contractor as a Unit Records Professional.

General warehouse operations and safe execution of those processes. Consistent with DoD Manual 4140.70, DoD Supply Chain Material Management Procedures for Storage Handling.

EDUCATION :

High School or GED

EXPERIENCE :

1 to 3 years of relevant experience for the position

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

Current Active Security clearance

Failure to sign the release or cooperate in test procedures shall be deemed a withdrawal of the employment application.
