JOB TITLE : SUPPLY TECHNICIAN

JOB PURPOSE :

This position performs limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Work is usually segregated by commodity area or function and controlled by difficulty, complexity, or responsibility.

Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty. The work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions. This work may require consideration of program requirements and specific variations in or from standardized guidelines. Assignments require :

a) a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines; (b) an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced; and (c) analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Review the D23 report daily if there are DIFM details.
  • Coordinate the approval for the use of locally developed LMCA forms with the LMCA
  • Coordinate reportable (R14) equipment acquisitions and DPAS cataloging actions per AFI 23-101 and other applicable guidance with the ECs and AFRL / APO.
  • Coordinate and ensure the appropriate APSR records are established, and LMCA will have seven duty days to enter accountable R14 items into DPAS from the date of government acceptance
  • Control and maintain accountability for all Government property, including safeguarding, issuing, and storage (if applicable) after receipt.
  • Process transactions, quality control documentation, ensure organizations properly prepare the property, and transport property.
  • Provide initial and recurring training to sub-custodians. ECs will complete annual refresher training.
  • Ensure R14 and Commander's Visibility Report R15 (equivalent) laboratory equipment is received and processed within seven (7) business days.
  • The Contractor shall use DPAS to track and manage equipment accountability and process equipment transactions.
  • The Contractor shall provide a quarterly status report for all transactions to the AFRL / APO.
  • Review all EPAs, Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAS), and Commercial Test Agreements (CTA) to ensure all equipment is loaned or donated properly IAW AFI 61-301.
  • ensure all loaned or donated property is processed through LMCA, including ITAM.
  • Annually review lease, loan, and donation agreements of Government equipment to Non-Government Agencies (NGA).
  • process all equipment turn-ins within 45 days of receiving the item.
  • shall turn in equipment to base supply, Defense Logistics Agency Disposition Services (DLADS), or other recipients as identified.
  • shall not accept any equipment that contains hazardous materials.
  • All turn-ins must have the proper certifications stating the equipment is contamination-free. (SS-L02)
  • enter applicable information for L / P assets and controlled items (COMSEC, etc.) into DPAS. LMCA may retain unofficial records in DPAS for internal purposes.
  • Ensure accountable items are listed on the CA / CRL Inventory (R14), or if applicable, the Organizational Visibility List (R15), obtain an updated and signed Custodian Authorization / Custody Receipt Listing (CA / CRL) annually, upon change of custodian, and / or when requested by the equipment custodian.
  • Identify the COMSEC items that must be tracked within the COMSEC
  • Material Control System (CMCS) and follow accountability procedures.
  • Ensure all COMSEC items are authorized under ASC 658.
  • Maintain a list of primary and alternate / sub-custodians and due dates of annual inventory inspections, including completion dates IAW AFI 23-101.
  • conduct an annual equipment custodian account walk-through for a random 10% of all accountable asset inspections for each subaccount and document the scheduling and completion.
  • prepare an AF Form 2005, Issue / Turn-in Request, AF Form 601, Equipment Action Request, or other local process, obtains required signatures, enters the request on AF 126, Custodian Request Log.
  • LMCA will process the transaction(s), ensure the item is entered in the DPAS catalog, and return a completed copy to the sub-custodian.
  • ensure correct disposition of these files IAW AFI 33-322, Records Management and Information Governance Program.
  • Review and screen DPAS for accuracy and discrepancies; follow up and take corrective actions.
  • Perform requests to consolidate or merge equipment accounts or transfer equipment items from one account to another.
  • Transfer shall be accomplished within five (5) workdays of request.
  • manage GFE / GFP and CAP IAW DAFMAN 23-119 and AFRLI 61-101. GFE / GFP and CAP Accountable equipment must be maintained in DPAS
  • will Assign a Unique Item Identification (UII) asset ID number to all accountable properties and apply the appropriate labels.
  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

    Must have certifications / licenses as well as the capability to work with the following operations and systems :

  • Operation of vehicles to transport equipment / material
  • Computer and Administrative skills :
  • Understand filing systems, electronic filing, creating / utilizing word documents and excel spreadsheets,

  • sending / receiving / reading / replying to email and instant messages,
  • phone etiquette and taking / delivering phone messages.
  • Government Records Management processes.
  • Training is required for personnel identified by the Contractor as a Unit Records Professional.

  • General warehouse operations and safe execution of those processes. Consistent with DoD Manual 4140.70, DoD Supply Chain Material Management Procedures for Storage Handling.
  • EDUCATION :

  • High School or GED
  • EXPERIENCE :

  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience for the position
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

    Current Active Security clearance
