Special Education Sub-Separate Classroom Teacher
Full-time for the 2024-2025 School Year
Leominster High School is seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher for a Substantially Separate ABA-based classroom. The candidate should be familiar with the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), comfortable implementing and collaborating on behavior intervention plans, skilled at discrete trial teaching, incidental teaching, and small group instruction, able to manage the schedules of both students and paraprofessionals, willing to model teaching procedures and provide professional coaching to paraprofessionals, and demonstrate flexibility, teamwork, and dedication to students with special needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teach academic and executive functioning skill classes.
- Works in conjunction with other staff to create IEPs; provides input for student reevaluation.
- Communicate regularly with families of students receiving services.
- Maintain service delivery log and progress notes; use ongoing assessments to evaluate and report on student progress.
- Manage paraprofessional support personnel in the classroom.
