Overview:
STARTING SALARY WILL NOT EXCEED 10% OF THE BASE SALARY
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including, but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; work assessments, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; professional licensure and certifications, and training and development.
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Facilitate on-boarding/off-boarding process.
- Assist in the coordination of benefits administration for new hires, open enrollment, and life events.
- Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training,
- Ensure maintenance of personnel records and other employment related information.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Ensures compliance with all company, federal and state regulations relating to employment matters.
- Assist with payroll as needed.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required or Associate’s Degree in a related field and three years of human resources experience.
- At least 1-3 year of HR Generalist experience preferred.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR is a plus.
Complete Background Check of Florida Crime Information Center (FCIC)/ National Crime Information Center (NCIC).
