We are seeking a detail-orientated and organized junior assistant construction project manager to provide administrative support for our project management team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, proficiency in construction administrative tasks, and a strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities :

  • Assist the lead project manager in planning, coordinating, and supervising construction projects.
  • Monitor project progress and provide updates to upper management and various parties via look-a-head schedules, daily reports, and / or brief presentations.
  • Help prepare project schedules, reports, and meeting minutes.
  • Coordinate with contractors, architects, and suppliers to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Track project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and permits, and submittals.
  • Support procurement activities regarding miscellaneous buyouts and field mobilizations.
  • Assist in organizing, maintaining, and distributing construction documents such as contracts, drawings, specifications, submittals, shop drawings, and other correspondences.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project documents and assist document circulation between subcontractors, owners, and architects.

Qualifications :

  • Previous experience in an administrative and / or project management role in the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of the overall process of large-scale construction projects.
  • Basic understanding of blueprints, construction schedules, and project specifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and other project management software such as Procore.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of construction industry terminology and processes is a plus.
  • Education :

    A college degree is required for this position. A degree associated with the construction industry is not required but encouraged.

    Additional education or training in administrative assistance or construction management is preferred.

    Salary :

    The salary for this position will be based on one's experience and qualifications. It will range from approx. $60,000-$80,000 per year.
