Mechanic Assistant

A assists with the preventive maintenance of Leon Medical Centers’ fleet. Performs unskilled maintenance work and assists mechanic in performing manual work such as oil changes, brakes maintenance, etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs manual tasks such as assisting mechanic in carrying machine parts and tools and materials to and from the job, lifts and hold parts, cleans up work areas, etc.
• Cleans and washes equipment and machinery. Scrapes paint, grease, and accumulated material from equipment.
• Performs routine oiling and greasing of mechanic shop equipment.
• Identifies and reports all incidents that occur in the work area.
• Ensures a safe working environment for self and others.
