What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server position at Leon's?
Servers are “tour guides” for Leon’s guests throughout their meal. Servers are welcoming, knowledgeable, passionate, and poised. They are charged with actively engaging our guests, and deciphering what is needed at all times. They are expected to be leaders in service, offering guidance to, and always assisting the Service Support team in any/all of their responsibilities (especially in clearing and resetting tables). Additionally, as an extension of the Host/Maître d’ role, Servers are expected to recognize regular guests, friends and family, hospitality industry peers/ Soignés /key press and reviewers, and warmly welcome first-time diners.
We are looking for Breakfast & Lunch servers from Tuesday-Friday with options to work Brunch on the weekends. Breakfast is from 8am-11am and lunch is 12pm-3pm. Servers will be required to work both shifts.
We are also looking for PM/Brunch Servers with availability on Sunday evenings.
Responsibilities include:
- Enthusiastically and genuinely greeting guests, both upon arrival and departure
- Understanding and executing all Steps of Service
- Thoroughly and expediently executing all pre- and post-service side work
- Expert-like knowledge of all current menu items and specials
- Also delivering thoughtful assistance to guests with specific dietary restrictions and preferences
- Acute knowledge of all current by-the-glass (BTG) wine selections, specialty cocktails, classic cocktails, and beer selection
- Composed communications with FOH and BOH Management regarding specific guest needs, concerns, or conflicts
- Food running
