Job Title: Accountant AR/AP

Reporting to: Finance Director

Status: Full-time, Exempt

Work Schedule: Flexible Hybrid – 40% WFH/ 60% In Office

Experience: 1 to 3 years progressive accounting experience

Education: Associate Degree in Accounting or Above

Summary Objective

The accountant is responsible for day-to-day accounts receivable and collections transactions, ensuring invoices are prepared in accordance with establish practice, deposits and collections are processed timely. They routinely coordinate with Customers, as well as internal departments including Customer Service and Sales, ensuring orders are processed to meet timelines. This position also is responsible for entering accounts payable transactions, as well as reconciling multiple credit card statements monthly.

This position manages a large volume of transactions within tight deadlines and requires exceptional organization and time management skills. They interact routinely with all levels of the organization and require strong knowledge of GAAP, as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Primary Functional Responsibilities

· Process all aspects of billing and collection activities, work with customers, sales and customer service departments to ensure compliance with establish customer credit terms, and obtain missing information as needed to process transactions timely

· Collect, post and deposit payments, make recommendations on methods to improve operations, reduce costs and gain efficiencies; identify and help resolve issues as they are encountered

· Report and track collection metrics, working closely with the Accounting Manager on establishing dealer credit limits and prepay requirements. Using collection metrics, they help ensure cashflow targets are achieved

· Support month end closing process, including reconciliation of monthly credit card statements, ensuring documentation is collected and transactions are recorded to proper accounts and in compliance with company procedures

· Assist with designing reports, tools and metrics for self and for manager (s) that summarize weekly and monthly functional operations, including but not limited to accounts receivable and collections

· Assist with customer credit approval process and documentation around credit approval

· Complete month end sales tax reporting and filing requirements, ensuring deadlines are met and deposits are funded as required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
