What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher Science 6th-12th Grade position at LEONA MICHIGAN EDUCATION GROUP?

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
- Plan a program of study that meets students' individual needs and goals; establish clear objectives for all lessons and units; ensure that lessons are aligned with state curriculum standards.
- Develop lesson plans; work cooperatively with the academy's instructional support team to learn from feedback and improve the quality of instruction.
- Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning; develop reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedures; enforce the academy's student discipline code.
- Collaborate with special education staff to implement accommodations and modifications as indicated in student IEPs.
- Maintain professional competence.
- Develop/run a club.
- May participate in extracurricular activities such as coaching, tutoring, enrichment activities, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree
- State teacher certification or in-process.
- Capability in professionalism, instruction, and classroom management.
