Leonard's Bakery™ has been serving high quality baked products since 1952. Our most famous pastry is the malasada, a Portuguese donut without a hole. We fry generously-sized balls of dough until it’s golden brown on the outside and light & fluffy on the inside.
We are looking for a Cashier to join our team and assist customers by taking food orders in a fast-paced environment. No experience is required as all necessary training will be provided. However, the preferred candidate will have customer service and restaurant experience, as well as knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in placing food orders:
- Greet customers entering the store
- Manage transactions with customers using cash registers
- Collect payments whether cash or credit
- Prepare drink orders
- Maintain a clean work area by sanitizing counters/wiping windows
- Assist in restocking kitchen supplies and merchandise
- Clean and restock supplies at end of shift:
- Wipe down surfaces
- Wash and sanitize dishes and kitchen equipment as needed
- Sweep and mop floors
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required
- Experience with Toast POS preferred, but not required
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Must be able to stand for duration of work shift (up to 8 hours)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
