Summary
We are seeking a Ranch Manager for our Leonard Ranch & Cattle Co. division to oversee operations at our ranch facility. This role is vital to ensuring the health and productivity of our livestock while maintaining the highest standards of care. The Ranch Manager will play a crucial role in supporting our commitment to quality and excellence.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the ranch, including livestock care and feeding schedules.
- Oversee and perform the maintenance and repair of farm machinery and equipment.
- Implement best practices for animal husbandry to ensure optimal health and productivity.
- Construction projects perform and coordinate with sub contractors.
- Supervise staff and provide training on ranch operations and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of livestock health, breeding, and production.
- Develop strategies for improving ranch efficiency and productivity.
- Hay and pasture management
Requirements
- Proven experience in ranch management or similar agricultural roles.
- Strong knowledge of animal husbandry practices and livestock management.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with farm machinery repair and maintenance.
- Basic electrical, carpentry, construction skills.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team.
