The Leonardo DRS Land Electronics business provides C4I Network computing and integrated situational awareness, as well as state-of-the-art embedded diagnostics, vehicle power management and combat vehicle integration products and services.
Job Summary
Excellent opportunity to join the Land Electronics team in Huntsville, AL. In this role, you will support Leonardo DRS Technology and Equipment in operating environments at depots, training sites, and customer field operations with training, operation, and repair.
Job Responsibilities
- Support all Field Service Activities in and out of plant
- Support DRS equipment in operating environments at OEM production locations, depots, training sites, and customer field operations with training, operation troubleshooting and repair
- Setup and support demonstrations as needed
- Ability to lead a technical group independently
- Provide budget, cost, and schedule input for design assignments
- Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer a required
- Participates in preparation of proposals
- Provide technical knowledge and assistance to other engineers and support personnel
- May Lead and direct the work of others as assigned
- Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization
Basic Qualifications
- M1A1/ M1A2 Versions, technical vehicle knowledge (mechanic) and experience
- Associates degree in related technical field with 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education/experience
- Willingness to travel (both US and Foreign / CONUS and OCONUS) and long-term deployments (3 months or more) may also be required
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
- Familiar with the Microsoft suite of computer software: Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written forms
- Ability to obtain a U.S. passport
- Knowledge with Abram and Bradley vehicle platforms
- Ability to obtain a CAC card
Advanced Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in a related technical field
- Knowledge of military maintenance forms and supply functions
- Direct Support Electrical Systems Test Set (DSESTS) knowledge
