DRS RADA Technologies, a subsidiary of Leonardo DRS, is focused on proprietary radar solutions and legacy avionics systems supporting the defense industry globally. The company is a global pioneer of AESA tactical radars for active military protection, counter-drone applications, critical infrastructure protection, and border surveillance.
As an Integration and Test Engineering Summer Intern at DRS RADA Technologies, you will gain hands-on experience supporting engineers in various assignments related to radars. You will assist with testing, data gathering, research, and design analysis under the guidance of experienced professionals. This role provides an opportunity to develop technical skills, learn industry best practices, and collaborate with a dynamic engineering team in the defense sector. This internship is a fully in-person role located in Germantown, Maryland.
- Work closely with and assist engineers in the conduct of various radar characterization and testing
- Carry out basic work instructions that will help in understanding the fundamentals of the Company and also learn new things
- Conducttesting under the supervision of engineers
- Complete assigned tasks on time
- Gather and assemble data for engineers
- May be required to help in research in a particular field
- Assist engineers with appropriate design details
- Must have good interpersonal skills and have the ability to build a good network
- Perform a wide variety of tasks to gain familiarity with the engineering staff, methods, programs and practices
- Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED
- Engineering student; some progress towards engineering degree
- Experience with network troubleshooting and IP deconfliction
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- MATLAB experience preferred
- Ability to concisely take notes and document step by step procedures
- Must have good interpersonal skills and have the ability to build a good network
- Must be diligent, hardworking, and quick to learn
- Must be able to commute to Germantown, Maryland - this role is fully in-person
U.S. Citizenship required.
The expected pay scale for this position is $24/hour.Should the level, location, or scope of the position change during the hiring process, the pay scale may be modified accordingly.
