Based in our Leonardo DRS Naval Electronics Display, Processing, and Networking Center located in Johnstown, PA, you will gain hands-on experience participating in continuous improvement activities to help us improve efficiency, optimize processes, and drive innovation to identify, reduce and remove waste.

- Participate in continuous improvement kaizen events to drive waste reduction across the business
- Conduct time studies on the manufacturing floor
- Carry out basic work instructions that will help inunderstanding the fundamentals of the Company and also learn new things
- Gather and assemble data to identify areas of opportunity within the factory
- Complete assigned tasks on time
- Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be currently enrolled in an institution for higher learning with some progress towards an Industrial Engineering or Operations Management degree
- Must have good interpersonal skills and have the ability to build a good network
- Must be diligent, hardworking, and quick to learn
- Competence with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Ability to analyze data, draw meaningful conclusions, and make recommendations
- Eager to understand, document, map, analyze, critique, and improve processes
- Comfortable with communicating both written and verbally with all employees and functional groups
