Summary :
Responsibility for ensuring the AW609 airframe structure design satisfies customer and business objectives and complies with FAA certification rules. Position requires versatility to include structures design, stress analysis, and production support (liaison engineering) aspects for the AW609 tiltrotor design and development.
Resolve certification issues through discussion with FAA authorities / DERs for airframe structures and material and process specifications, to address aircraft integration issues, and to provide dispositions for flight test squawks / test article deviations for relevant system and operating site.
Responsibilities :
- Using global supply chain, assist with AW609 structural / material testing, flight testing, and analysis necessary to show compliance to FAA part 25 / 29 certification rules, including preparation of structural analysis reports, test plans and test reports.
- Oversee and participate in ongoing design development of airframe structure (including but limited to fuselage, empennage, wing, and pylon) and cabin interior structural provisions.
- Provide airframe design support toward completion of AW609 aircraft, including the disposition of defects for structural aspects, ensuring configuration accountability, retrofitting of new designs, and ensuring engineering corrective action is taken to improve the product.
- Produce and defend high-quality deliverables including digital design data, engineering change orders, instrumentation requirements, interface requirements, material data, and configuration accountability.
- Develop and implement innovative airframe design solutions that leverage advanced technology and tiltrotor configuration to provide customer value.
