Summary of Position:
Helicopter Instructor Pilot. To conduct in-aircraft initial conversion and/or recurrent flight training onsite and at customer location. To complete course paperwork as required by Leonardo Helicopters and to assist in the development of course training material.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Deliver Pilot Type Rating and Recurrent Flight courses
• Deliver other training courses as applicable
• Study and train as needed to remain current as an instructor pilot him/herself, remaining informed and up-to-date on the latest standards, procedures and regulations as applicable
• Be responsible to complete all required training paperwork in a timely and accurate fashion
• Assist in the ongoing development of LHTA curriculum, products and services
• Maintain and update training materials and publications
• Perform other duties and fulfil other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications for Position:
Education/Licenses/Certifications:
• FAA Rotorcraft Commercial Certificate, ATP Preferred
• FAA CFI/CFII, EASA Preferred
• Valid FAA Medical, minimum Second-class, First-Class preferred.
Experience:
• Instructor background in helicopters
• A119 trained/150 hours as PIC on type preferred
• Strong IFR experience and knowledge
• 3,000 total hours Rotorcraft
• Twin turbine helicopter time. 500 hours preferred
• 200 hours instrument – actual/simulated
Competencies & Attributes:
• Excellent interpersonal communications skills and MS office Knowledge
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Must be able to travel both domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time.
• Experience in the development of aviation training material
• IT skills: Microsoft Office
