Job Summary
Guides guests to appropriate table as directed by the matre d'. Interacts with the restaurant guests, fellow employees, and supervisors in a polite, courteous and hospitable manner to ensure gracious hospitality.
Job Activities
- Adhere to all appearance standards as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Anticipate and accommodate guest needs.
- Maintain the general cleanliness and orderliness of the entrance area.
- Ensure compliance of all sanitation standards according to the Department of Health and company guidelines.
- Actively seat guests at the assigned tables directed by the Maitre D'.
- Assist with answering guest inquiries.
- Assist with coat check and other belongings (where applicable).
- Assist with setting up front desk area, performs side-work and other opening / closing procedures as directed by management.
- Ensure that all appropriate menus are printed and ready for service.
- Collect menus throughout venue during shift.
- Report all breakage, damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management.
- Attend and participates in daily pre-service meetings, training sessions or departmental meetings.
- Learn by listening, observing other team members and sharing knowledge while leading by example.
- Posses a positive and professional attitude.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Company, its partners and supporting hotel environments.
- Work as part of a team and provides help and support to all fellow team members.
- Other duties as assigned by Managers.
