We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Part-Time Accounting Clerk to support our finance department in maintaining accurate financial records.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong understanding of basic accounting principles, who can work independently and collaboratively.

This role will focus on key tasks related to the general ledger, reconciliations, and tax exemptions while assisting with various related tasks and projects as needed.

Business Operating Hours / Schedule :   Monday through Friday 7 : 30 am - 5 : 30 pm

This role is flexible and has the potential ( for the right candidate ) to develop into a full-time long-term position.

We are flexible with hours etc.

Responsibilities :

  • General Ledger Maintenance : Assist in the maintenance of the general ledger by accurately inputting and classifying financial transactions.
  • Deposit Coding : Code and allocate deposits to the appropriate general ledger
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations :  Perform regular reconciliations of balance sheets for various G / L accounts, to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
  • Tax Exemption Management :  Review, approve, and process tax exemption requests and documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Data Entry and Record Keeping :  Maintain organized and accurate records of all transactions and supporting documentation.
  • Support :  Assist with various assignments and tasks as needed, such as audit requests and more.
  • Document Management :  Maintain electronic and physical filing systems for accounting documents.
  • Other Duties :  Provide general administrative and accounting support as needed.
  • Required Skills :

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred (or currently enrolled in a finance program)
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Excellent communication, research, problem-solving, and time-management skills
  • High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability
