What you will be doing:
- Representing the engine supplier on-site at the OEM to explain how the aftertreatment system works, help troubleshoot issues, and answer questions
- Reviewing MATLAB Simulink models in order to explain how the aftertreatment system works
- Reflashing the aftertreatment and engine control modules
- Resolving field issues when faults are found
- Working with the engine supplier systems engineers to explain the OEM requirements for current and future products
- Supporting testing on benches, test cells and trucks
- Performing data analysis
- Conducting data quality checks
- Generating technical reports on testing performed to support the following objectives:
- Catalyst Portfolio Strategy
- Performance boundary mapping
- Base calibration
- Product & process release for C/P/I
- Calibration Support
- Completing feature and diagnostic reviews, following the corporate calibration process.
- Perform bench testing on feature and diagnostic calibrations to validate functionality.
- Investigate software and integration issues observed in the test cell and/or field and address any FIRGs associated with these features and diagnostics.
- Field Performance Analysis Support
- Review field data using FPA console and generate weekly/bi-weekly reports of EAS behavior.
- Early production and production-phase SCR over-temperature diagnostics reviews and dew point feature subject to availability of field test data.
- Early production and production -phase DOC, DPF, SCR over-temperature, PM sensor diagnostic reviews and NOx sensor diagnostic & feature reviews
- Back up relevant information with shared access for stakeholders, CTR's for applicable DVP&R updates, deliverables tracking on Integrity (upload)
What you'll need to be successful:
Essential:
- College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines.
- Mechanical/Chemical Engineering degree HIGHLY preferred
- A mechanical/chemical engineering background with a masters of science or PhD is preferred
- Cummins Experience
- Aftertreatment experience
- MS office suit solid knowledge is required.
