Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Engine OBD Calibration Engineer to develop and implement best practice calibration solutions and perform diagnostic verification testing.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all technical aspects of the OBD diagnostic calibrations to meet CARB regulations, identifying system requirements during system hardware design to ensure a robust diagnostic system, and utilizing standard instrumentation toolsets for data acquisition, storage, and analysis.
This role requires proficiency in industry-standard calibration tools such as ETAS INCA, MatLab, and CANalyzer.
The position also involves traveling 4-8 weeks per year for system validation/verification.
A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Computer Science from an ABET-accredited university is required, as well as fundamental knowledge in MatLab/Simulink.
The ideal candidate will have a Master of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Computer Science from an ABET-accredited university and 2 years of experience in engine development, powertrain systems development/engine calibration/control systems development/diagnostics within the automotive industry.
Proficiency in MatLab/Simulink is also essential.
