System Validation and Verification
The Engine OBD Calibration Engineer will manage all technical aspects of the OBD diagnostic calibrations to meet CARB regulations. This includes identifying system requirements during system hardware design to ensure a robust diagnostic system. The candidate will use standard instrumentation toolsets for data acquisition, storage, and analysis. Industry-standard calibration tools such as ETAS INCA, MatLab, and CANalyzer will be utilized.
Skills and Qualifications
The candidate should possess a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from an ABET-accredited university. Fundamental knowledge in MatLab/Simulink is required. Additionally, the candidate should have 2 years of experience in engine development, powertrain systems development/engine calibration/control systems development/diagnostics within the automotive industry. Proficiency in MatLab/Simulink is also necessary.
