Overview: We are seeking an experienced Plant EHS Manager to lead our Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) initiatives at our manufacturing facility in Fremont, Indiana. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance and promoting a safe workplace while driving continuous improvement in environmental performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Development: Create and maintain safety and environmental programs to ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.
- Injury Prevention: Implement initiatives to reduce occupational injuries through assessments, investigations, and measurable safety goals.
- Risk Management: Analyze and improve workplace conditions, develop loss control programs, and evaluate safety progress.
- Best Practices: Share and implement HSE best practices across sites to enhance safety culture.
- Management Systems: Establish and maintain Environmental and Safety Management Systems in line with ISO 14001 and ISO 18001.
- Regulatory Liaison: Interface with local, state, and federal agencies to ensure compliance.
- Budget Management: Oversee budgets for HSE activities, including safety equipment and training.
- Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into non-compliance incidents and conduct root cause analysis.
- Training Programs: Develop and deliver training focused on health, safety, and environmental awareness.
- Sustainable Practices: Drive initiatives to reduce environmental waste in manufacturing processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of HSE experience in an industrial setting.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
