Job Title: Principal Resident Engineer
Job Location: 305 Franklin Street, Columbus, Indiana 47201, and various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S.
Duties
LER TechForce, LLC seeks a Principal Resident Engineer in Columbus, Indiana, and various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. Duties: deliver innovative software solutions to meet customer requirements; create process improvement and implementations plans; stay abreast of new technologies and competitor products; apply quality assurance techniques, including root cause analysis and error correction; coordinate input from internal and external customers to understand needs and perceptions; integrate firmware and software requirements for automotive engines; lead planning, development, and execution of test activities; identify and automate tests in existing framework; support the development of technical documentation, configuration activities, and all phases of product development; manage stakeholder needs, control system architecture, and lessons learned; facilitate DFMEA, change management, and risk analysis activities; specify, design, implement, test and release controls software; determine software, design, and implementation requirements for improved performance; develop product system validation plans and identify interfaces to mitigate failures; participate in quality triage analysis and support system-level test case development; use data flow definition to select tools and processes for product and system development activities; integrate product systems and support verification and validation activities.
Requirements
Master's degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, electronics engineering, computer engineering, or related field, and 4 years of experience (gained at any time) in any engineering or technical role which included at least one of the skills listed below. Included within the 4 years of experience, must have experience in all of the following: communications protocols (CAN, CANOE) and vector tools; debugging embedded software using debuggers and emulators; version control and requirements management software (IBM TRC, DOORS, SVN, GitHub, Jama, Jira, PTC Integrity, SolidWorks, SmartSheet, or PLM); HIL systems; automation of testing scripts; validation and verification testing, systems performance evaluation, and troubleshooting communication protocols; performing test setup and configuring hardware setup/connections; requirements management, DFMEA, DVP&R, and feasibility studies; boundary diagrams, stateflow diagrams, and functional and interface analysis; vehicle test case design, development, validation, and debugging; root cause analysis.
In lieu of master's degree, will accept a bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, electronics engineering, computer engineering, or related field, and 6 years pf post-bachelor's, progressive experience in an engineering or technical role which must have included the skills listed above.
