Job Purpose:
This position is to conduct the required warranty analysis for returned parts from customers, conduct tests, claim data monitoring, and claim trend analysis in order to minimize warranty cost and part improvement. The required responsibility and qualifications are described below
Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as needed):
- Performs warranty claim research for the products that the company provides to all OEM.
- Monitors claim trends and identify specific failure modes.
- Analyzes and estimates a potential cost impact to the company due to field issues.
- Recognizes emerging claim trends or failures.
- Approves warranty invoices based on findings and objects to customers for the claims that the company is not responsible.
- Performs chargeback to suppliers based on the contracts.
- Collects Q-cost data from the related teams in MCA and communicates with Client/CQ(Mando Korea) regarding the collected data.
- Communicates with customers as a focal point for field issues, claim cost, incident parts information, etc.
- Attends customer warranty meetings as required. Works closely with customers to assure customer satisfaction.
- Receives and coordinates incident parts from all OEMs.
- Maintains tracking system of warranty returned parts.
- Informs related teams of failures and initiates an investigation in the company.
- Conducts the required tests and measurements for part analysis.
- Creates technical reports on investigations, analysis, and recommendations for related teams in global Mando.
- Bachelor degree in Engineering
- Flexible schedule to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as required
- Be able to travel in the USA and abroad as required
- Bilingual preferred (Korean, English).
- Must have in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel(Macro), PowerPoint, Word
- Must have good problem-solving skills, communication skills, and organization skills.
