Job Location: 305 Franklin Street, Columbus, Indiana 47201, and various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S.

Duties

LER TechForce, LLC seeks a Senior Software Applications Engineer in Columbus, Indiana, and various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. Telecommuting permitted 3 days/week. Duties: apply quality assurance techniques; compile data and define changes required in software and features; participate in software vulnerability assessment of systems; contribute to the delivery of innovative, flexible, and integrated solutions to meet customer changing business needs; coordinate input from internal and external customers to better understand needs and perceptions; perform root cause analysis (5 Whys, Fishbone), error correction, and functional and risk analysis of system level problems; represent the development team in multi-focused team meetings; work in cross-functional teams across the organization to architect and implement complex solutions.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer and Information Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field, and 3 years of professional experience in any engineering or technical role which included at least one of the skills listed below. Included within the 3 years of experience, must have experience in all of the following: design and development of interactive software modules; resolution of general programming problems; unit-level testing; .NET language (C#, ASP.NET, or JavaScript); SQL, AJAX, Oracle or relational databases; version control software; Web-based technologies (Java, Django, or NodeJS); communication protocols (CAN, LIN, MOST, Bluetooth, GPS, GSM/GPRS or Cellular 3 G & 4G); object-oriented programming; software development life cycle; Web development (Web Forms, Windows Services).
