What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payment Processor Lead position at LERETA?
The Payment Processor Lead assists the management team with planning and directing the daily workflow of the Payment Team. The position ensures successful procurement and on-time payments in adherence to LERETA's requirements / objectives. The Payment Processor Lead provides training, feedback, and support for the development of employee skill set.
Tax Procurement
- Reviews agency websites, makes / receives phone calls and / or reviews internal tax reports in order to identify the tax amounts that need to be procured / paid and reports the findings to the client in a timely manner
- Balances client returns and assists with matching payment checks to vouchers / bills then prepares the packets for shipping to the appropriate taxing authorities
- Researches delinquencies as required, procures payoff amounts and determines the root cause for delinquency
- Researches various tax procurement matters / issues per the client's request and / or per the requests submitted by internal departments
- Procures tax status for various properties / accounts according to department policies and procedures in accordance with the Service Level Agreements (SLA)
- Additional responsibilities include balancing client payments and preparing payments in bulk to ship to the tax authorities on behalf of the clients
- Ability to upload procured tax amounts to system of record
- Responsible for resolving funds on account
- Responsible for setting up Trust accounts
