Description : Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for training and supervision of Account Managers.
  • Responsible to make sure Account Managers are fulfilling their job responsibilities and customer needs.
  • Effective management of CNA's (Credit Not Allowed) taken by our customers
  • Monitor and maintain reporting and metrics
  • Arrange for coverage for Account Managers when needed. (Vacations, sick days.)
  • Handle calls from customers who have problems and need to talk to a manager.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects related to processes like quoting, stocking levels, packaging, and shipments to customers.
  • Coordinate all quoting activities working closely with SBBU manager.
  • Work closely with the Director of Sales for the North, Director of National Accounts and all the Commercials Managers for the North to ensure alignment in our selling activities.
  • Create an environment that fosters a high level of employee engagement with the Account Managers. Developing team members to achieve their potential.
  • Collaborate effectively with all the functions in the business including Materials, Scheduling, Operations, Quality, and Logistics.

Requirements :

Experience & Education :

  • Ability to operate computer and working knowledge of SW System.
  • Some understanding of machine capabilities and ASTM specifications for material grades.
  • Above average communication skills, customer service and ability to deal with different personalities.
  • Ability to lead and organize employees.
  • Experience and knowledge of steel, the steel industry, and commodity-based markets.
  • Four-year degree preferred
